It will be September. It's always September when pay needs to be negotiated.

regarding equalised new starts contracts unlikely i think, theres no jobs out there, any supermarkets u apply to have 300 applications for a crappy min wage job so royal mail probably know the job markets bad and unlikely to do new starts any favours, afraid new starts be stuck with this job as theirs no where to go

Where are they all leaving to then?

The ones leaving you have to assume are getting jobs but the 50%(?) who haven't left clearly can't get better jobs elsewhere, pus you can only see the jobs market worsening with fuel prices etc rocketing.

He said theres no other jobs and nowhere else for them to go though

The retention rate says otherwise

We wouldnt be shedding new starts at the rate we are unless there were other jobs equal to or better than what is on offer at RM currently

uk average wage is not realistic don't think that their are more people over 39k its an illusion, most people are on the same wages or their abouts, min wage and above, if a professional football player is on 100 grand a week it pushs up the average wage but majority are on lower wages think about it. Some people are just chucking the job because it is so bad not necessarily have somewhere to go, or jobs up to 20 hours, most jobs don't get back to you when you apply other than u were unsuccessful, it may look like theirs a lot of jobs online but majority either are scam fake jobs that copy previous job adverts from places like local councils but they don't exist, they just want ur personal details to pass onto companies who want to advertise to you once they have ur cv. Royal mail is one of the few places people can get a job because of the high turnover.

Most people apply for a job when there with royal mail then if successful then hand notice in..very simple..in regards to the equalization, there was meant to be a 1st step 6 months ago but new entrants have been dripfead lies about mps and house of Commons this was only to deflect away from the real issues on the ground.. if 1st step was paid breaks for example then there would at this stage alone be a nice backpay.. in relation to a new entrant getting leveled up this was also meant to kick in so to speak 6 months ago nearly to which would mean another 27 or so pound for d2d or delivery supp argue what it is doesn't matter. in summary the 2 payments are still being held on a new entrant who has been there 3 years now since before xmas.. kretinsky should be ashamed of himself.. no incentive to do anything..unfortunately thats the way the business is going
