PDA's are getting slower by the week.
My whole life is watching that loading circle.
Too much spyware and bloatware installed on them now.
Will need more up to date PDA's in a year or 2.

They seem just the same speed as ever to me, the only issue is when you have a poor WiFI/4G connection.

* Delivery (Outdoor)
* Delivery (Indoor)
* Collections

Huge pain in the arse when it happens while scanning to Core Route. After the first incidence it's an active deterrent to scanning the 2D barcodes. It makes those cut-down Tracked labels that don't bother with a 1D (or even an address) even more annoying.

Not sure if ur saying they need to or stating that they already are.
Knowing about computers myself i can tell you that they already have seperated the apps.
Cause the outdoor app crashes on me all the time and throws me back to the menu screen.
Its most likely because i'm going too fast and the app crashes.
Take a pic, press submit, press power button to turn screen off to carry on.
Get to next delivery, press power button and its dropped back to the main menu.
When pressing outdoor it takes long to get back into it because its crashed and has to reload the outdoor app again into the RAM.

They're not separate apps atm, it's all just one big app.

The most annoying bug for this right now, is it seems to randomly automatically group two tracked items together, if you have two or more for the same address. i.e. if I scan one, then the others appear automatically. This could be handy, you might think, but if one of them is a signature then it doesn’t let me deliver the other one without getting a signature for them both. I haven’t yet figured out a way around it, besides photographing the barcode of the post-able non signature tracked and scanning it on another PDA.

When it does this, scan the item you don’t want to deliver, ie, the signed-for item, and it will ask you if you want to remove it. Clicking OK will remove it.

Just imagine how many man hours are ticking away having to do this at thousands of delivery points a day. This is how we're losing £1m a day... no wait, this just in: we aren't all of a sudden.

You can tap individual barcodes and select delivered or not delivered for each one.

That is the problem I was having though. I couldn’t do this as it wouldn’t confirm the non-signature tracked as delivered, it would just present the signature screen.

That's a bit of an exaggeration as I rarely have to do it, if you do have to it takes seconds, where it comes in useful is when you get to a customer with one item and two or more appear as if you're left on in the van w/o realising.
