There's addressed ones being held by the DTS system, some won't be due for automatic release until Tuesday

Can you please explain something? There used to be a rhythm to the week which fitted with finishing times eg. Light mail on a Saturday + early finish time, heavy mail on Wednesday + later finish time. That all made sense.

Now the mail doesn’t have that rhythm. Today was heavy but we’re still supposed to finish at the earliest time of the week. Monday is my heaviest day. Again an earlier finish time.

So the question is: has there been a tinkering with when mail is released for delivery? You’ve alluded to this in other threads but please could you explain whether they hold stuff back due to being economical on the use of the machines, rather than just processing and releasing as it comes in?
