Meal breaks: being forced to take 20 before you go out and 20 out. Is that correct?

In ours the managers tell us it's 20 in, 20 out. With a few exceptions, anyone with the sheer gall to attempt to take their 20 in the break room will get constantly pestered by managers asking them how long they've been, how long they plan to be there, where's this address, do you know if so and so is still here etc

I do enjoy it when I'm hunted down 15 in to my break to be asked a 'quick' question about a 739 or to get info to settle an customer issue.

Rest breaks at work
Workers have the right to one uninterrupted 20 minute rest break during their working day,

So if they interrupt it, reset the clock and start a new 20 minutes.

In my old office of approximately 50 posties there were just three of us taking our break. Still see some of my old workmates, everyone takes their break now SISO has been implemented.

In ours they have been doing something to hide ghosting, which makes me sick. So others are harassed for arriving back early, while the ghosters are completing OT within work time and that’s ok

It's because SISO only reveals the posties start and finish times to those higher up - they probably won't know if anyone has done any "ghosting" as that is written down and dealt with separately. Only their manager would know that and probably think that it is ok as long as the work gets done.

Its totally wrong that someone should finish early having got all their work done and be sent out to do additional work without any additional pay whilst someone else might be asked to do overtime all the time don't get penalised. The only way it's really going to be dealt with is if they speak out But in all honesty, why are they even finishing early anyway?

I took 5mins before I went out and stopped for 32
Mins whilst I was out and been called up on it.
Told suppose to only take 20 at a time.

It is 40 mins "OR" 20 + 20
No 5 & 32

So you can take 40 in one go whilst out? And what if you go over 9 hours you should get an extra 15 mins what then?

The new people in our office work 8 hours then get 40mins pay deducted as it’s a legal requirement to have a break only theirs isn’t paid.

They are getting wages deducted?? are they paying new starts at your office using SISO times?
