There seems to be a few people selling their stamps on eBay with card included...

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/176083516453
Bad idea, RM might be able to identify who is selling them by tracking the barcodes
Give me a break

You can sell them on ebay no problem

What are RM going to do - send in stormtroopers and Darth Vader

Sell them to your local, or in fact, any Post Office™
They will 'buy them back' at face value without fail. :thumbup

When was the last time you actually did that? As It's not the case anymore.

Why would anybody buy them/buy them back at face value???? I'd want a big discount to take them off your hands.

See this: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=112095

Seems like the Post Office will think you are dumping fakes on them and won't touch them and point you to the 'manufacturer' which is Royal Mail - and that's even if you bought them from the Post Office originally and have a receipt in your hand. I'd say forget about wandering into a Post Office branch and exchanging for cash immediately on the day a pack of stamps with no origin. And if RM need to stick them under a microscope to confirm they are genuine I don't think they'll be happy to have their gift thrown back at them.

Hence you're left to sell them on eBay. However, with there being so many fakes for sale (on eBay and even Amazon) people are suspicious of sellers.

Last year and every year before that for at least 10 years.

Seems they stopped doing this at least 10 years ago, perhaps following the split between Post Office Counters and Royal Mail according to a thread on MoneySavingExpert — hardly definitive, I know! However, this thread (viewtopic.php?t=72354) also says they don’t do it.

Can you elaborate as to how you got them to do it for you? Assuming you are right, I intend to buy a shitload from Costco at discounted rates and get them changed up for face value at a Post Office like you did.
