If the VR settlement wasn't signed off by the 31 January then the £6000 was not offered, this happened in our office even though we where informed sometime in November that there would be VR's. About a week after the 31 January deadline the VR's where offered to people, make of that what you will.

I was told by the local Evri driver that they are on 80p per parcel and get an average of 130parcels a day. Sometimes more. It’s job and knock and basically work when you want. They can quite easily clear £500 a week with no one breathing down their necks and no clocking up 60 miles walking a week.
Future for a walker is skin cancer, bad knees, arthritis in shoulders due to years of carrying bags and many other problems. I know many who have these problems and it’s getting worse with time. The future is bleak.

Yes and when they've delivered it all theyve finished, hence job and knock.

I wonder how long 130 parcels take them? You may get a few on the same street but it is not guaranteed. My parcel runs (when I do them) for just a couple of examples show 99 drops takes me eight hours...

130 parcel must have them out for a lot longer surely? Just guessing. And that's on the road time - that's not including loading up.

Plus you have van rental (leasing doesn't like people doing high miles). I think Evri covers the insurance for £1 or something low, but you have to pay the fuel, breakdown cover, everything else, etc. If you lease the van you better not scratch it or you're paying for it or getting it fixed before returning. If you buy a van that's a significant cost upfront. If you use a car you cannot take as many parcels. And what about if you get a significant number of complaints because you are doorstepping everything? They can probably suspend your account and then you cannot earn any money while you have this van purchase or monthly lease cost.

Personally, I don't think the grass is greener over there. Just IMHO.

I know someone that runs an evri local warehouse. He also has a delivery round and can easily earn £30-£40 an hour because he’s quick and good at the job like most of us .They leave the parcels anywhere and the routes are fairly compact.Onlythose that are not up to it get a poor hourly rate.
