To answer the question, the CWU obviously still has a future but I think it won't be in Royal Mail. We are fast moving towards their wants of a de-unionised company. Classic divide and conquer tactics resulting in a work force with older staff leaving in their droves and new starts on s**t contracts that won't join the union.

I think there is no chance of us striking before May 4th due to the Local Elections anyway. I think this is why the channels of communication are being kept open from our end, even though management have walked away!

Sadly I think RM would easily be able to get an injunction blocking any strikes from taking place before the local elections due to the legal requirements for RM to deliver election stuff

Total rubbish! Why is there so many anti Union comments? Wait till we have an agreement, then judge it then. 115,000 members will take a long time to get rid off. The directors at the moment, seem to be divided. The new starters could be on better pay, t and c's, than what they are offering now. Also don't forget, we are the Union.

There will always be a role for the union, if you think things are bad now without the union they would be a 100 times worse.
The company have already stated it’s their company to run as they decide, who do you think are stopping them from doing that, yes revisions are being forced in and things are bad at the moment but believe me without a union representing us things would be a lot lot worse

We lost the power of our industrial action at Christmas 2022 when Royal Mail practically encouraged us to take strikes in Xmas pressure So to think that going on strike around may 4th is going to make any difference? It’s completely delusional! These guys at the top have shown many many times over the last 9 months that they don’t give a Shite weather your outside huddling around your brazier! The ballot papers for the local elections are as we know letters and Thompson and his disciples don’t want to deliver letters that’s been obvious in the constant lies to the media and the government select committee and has any of these constant lies been challenged? Absolutely nothing has been done in fact I would even go as far to say the Royal Mail board and investors have actively encouraged this lot to deceive the public! Unfortunately we are going to have to put up with whatever comes out of this car crash or leave?
