They have made more of an impact at ours than any of the strikes ever did. It looks like covid times again at our office.

why are you all concerned ? work to your time , do the job properly and leave the worrying to the managers who are paid to worry !
Exactly. The pressure should be off because failure is the only option

Obviously it means a hell of a lot more prep time = less walking and then bringing stuff back and having to put it back in the frame the next morning = less walking.

Maybe it's a blessing. Based on the fact we're currently leaving the office at 10am.... larger frames will probably make it 10.30am. :nana

LESS OUTDOOR TIME = LESS WALKING!!!!! :Applause :dance :cool

Problem is if we do call their bluff and decide sod it let's clear everyday and they're back in profit and give it all away again. Its the ultimate lose lose situation. To answer the doubters of "at least you have a job" your body will be bolloxed in a couple of months. It's all coming down now unfortunately and I must admit I'm worried about our future employment status.

Ours has been in for a couple of weeks now and its a shambles, everyone has gave up including the screws as they know it's not achievable.

Start time, breaks, finish time, they can add what they want on the duties won't matter to me :thumbup

The managers know it won't work. In the most part they are with us on this. If your already going over on the whole as a unit then it stands to reason you'll go even more over or fail mail. That is the whole point. Unfortunately for us the board want us to fail. They want to be able to go to government and say we can't sustain this and reduce the uso. Its a deliberate sabotage.
I have said this for a while now - if they get away with this then serious questions have to be asked about collusion with government.

Bunch of damned crooks.

It's so far out of the reach of completion you have to admit defeat. As a result their 100 odd thousand staff are less productive and that guarantees the failure they want. Its so harsh but how does a union combat a board who wants a collapse.

As in next week lol. It's hilarious what these plonkers come up with. Our gaffer asked why aren't you completing. Well You added half a duty. Its great stuff this. It would be hilarious if we weren't all reliant on our weekly wage to keep a sodding roof.

they've bypassed the union at ours after it had been stopped, but now its in. its failed catastrophically. frames rammed full of mail, 2 posties just taking one side out then next day other side and back to square 1. so they got us on floor this morning and told us it can't go on like this. both sides have to be taken out but DONT take ALL the mail out. we've been instructed to leave all business mail and DSA mail in the frame. and just take 1st and 2nd class. only take the business and DSA if we have 1st or 2nd for the same address. thing is, business mail can be important or urgent. i.e. hospital letters, solicitors letters, etc. so we are effectively being told to wilfully delay the mail. people have been sacked in the past for a couple of letters deemed to have been wilfully delayed, now they are TELLING us to delay hundreds. (thousands for the whole office) . we said well scrap the revision, its clearly not working. NO they said, they've been instructed it stays. absolute shambles and a total disgrace. it should be reported and put on the news.
