Speak Up Q2 (July - Sept) Update
Here’s some key facts and figures from Q2 2022-23:
·165 reports received – 6% increase over Q1 2022-23.
·73% of reports anonymous – 4% increase over Q1 reports. If you’re concerned about retaliation, be assured Royal Mail take this very seriously and will not tolerate retaliation.
·19% reports were out of scope for Speak Up – make sure you’re reporting issues to the correct channel (report personal bullying and harassment or grievances to HR on 0345 6060603).
·47% of reports investigated and closed during Q2 were upheld or partially upheld with appropriate remedial actions put in place.
·81% of reports received relate to HR type issues eg overtime paid but not worked, general B&H behaviours, favouritism / discrimination, poor culture
·No reports of retaliation were received. We risk assess every report we receive for retaliation and contact reporters regularly to check for signs of retaliation.
A sample of issues resolved through Speak Up during Q2:
·Report of non-delivery of door to door. A targeted action plan for door to door was introduced as a result of the investigation findings.
·Report of fraudulent over time claims. Internal processes commenced as a result of the investigation findings.
·Report of bullying behaviours towards others by a colleague. Local action taken as a result.
