Does not work for me so what is the solutions to our predicaments but social distancing as that was what lockdown is in effect. Masks did not halt the virus only social distancing will as only the lunatics were waring them in March/April and imploring the PM to do so and COVID-19 brain and all that he did it he to this day does not know the regulations he imposed upon YOU ALL yesterday point being he has no idea and will do as a Boris does ignore like his dad Stanley does god you cannot make this up told to do by people who don't know the rules or they don't apply to them! SORRY

In march/April, experts didn't know the extent to which people with covid could spread the virus before symptoms appeared. Nor was it known at that time that some people could have the virus and yet be asymptomatic. I would agree that if more masks were used from the start of the pandemic then there might have been fewer infections and deaths. There was the small issue of a lack of PPE at the time if I remember.

In an ideal world masks would be ineffective because people would not come within 2 metres of each other, would always know if they had the disease and would always self isolate when they did.

If all of this happened the benefits of wearing a mask would be minimal because we would all be following the guidelines, we would be tested and tracked to the max and we would take ourselves out of circulation at the first sniffle.

This was what the government and to be fair the WHO based their mask position on in March.

It was not based on a post lockdown scenario or the fact that this country in particular has more than its fair share of idiots.

I've not been in a pub, bar or restaurant since lockdown happened. And its obvious to me that opening everything up again and allowing loads of revellers back in has probably helped contribute to a 2nd wave of covid cases. Do you mean to tell me that people were all going to walk back in a pub and stand 2 metres apart from everybody??

Face coverings not law in Scottish offices now?

Our sorting office was told today that everyone MUST wear a mask indoors (sorting, prepping, etc). Is this a nationwide RM policy or has our manager decided to enforce it anyway?

I take it you have a medical exemption?

edit: I've just seen the the 6 month old videos you've posted above so I take it that's your reasoning for not wearing a mask if it became mandatory?

If it becomes company policy then it's a case of no mask, no entry into office, unless you have a medical reason not to.

Neither of these videos give any evidence against the wearing of face coverings to reduce the risk of the wearer transmitting the virus to others or onto surfaces, which are the primary reasons for face coverings to be worn in this case.
