National Conduct Procedure Agreement 2015
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: National Conduct Procedure Agreement 2015
For the record, we all obviously use the old saying 'wilful delay', but that is no more, see below.
Foreword
We have also clarified the definitions of delay as there has been some confusion between wilful and unexcused delay.
This has led to unnecessary action being taken. The new definitions will support managers in making the right decisions.
Delay to mail
Delay to mail can be treated as:
Royal Mail Group recognises that genuine
mistakes and misunderstandings do occur and
it is not our intention that such cases should
be dealt with under the Conduct Policy beyond
informal discussions for the isolated instance.
Unexcused delay
Various actions can cause mail to be delayed,
for example carelessness or negligence
leading to loss or delay of customers’ mail, or
breach or disregard of a standard or guideline.
Such instances are to be distinguished from
intentional delay (see below), although they
may also be treated as misconduct and dealt
with under the Conduct Policy, outcomes may
range from an informal discussion to dismissal.
Intentional delay
Intentional delay of mail is classed as
gross misconduct which, if proven, could
lead to dismissal. The test to determine
whether actions may be considered as
intentional delay, is whether the action
taken by the employee was knowingly
deliberate, with an intention to delay mail.
Where proven, such breaches of conduct
can lead to dismissal, even for a first offence;
indeed intentional delay is a criminal
offence and can result in prosecution.

Re: National Conduct Procedure Agreement 2015
Does anyone know if there have been any updates to this policy agreement, or is this still the most current? Cheers.

Re: National Conduct Procedure Agreement 2015
Hi there, sorry to ask this again, but I just wanted to reconfirm that this 2015 national conduct procedure agreement is current and the standards by which RM can then be held to account by.
On page 8 it says that a work colleague who will be attending with somebody at a conduct meeting, will get PAID release to attend the meeting and prepare the case.
We've simply been told that it is up to us to prepare things in our own time and that if the work colleague who will be attending believes they will have issues with their workload duty as well as attending the meeting (which is at 10am in a different office so obviously this will be the case) then they should speak to their manager about it but this will not be paid.
We've only been given a few days to prepare. We asked for a 5 day extension but this was denied.
Thanks for any help and advice.

Hello, would someone be able to tell me if you can be conducted for an accident in a van, or send a link to somewhere I can find this information.
Thankyou

Re: National Conduct Procedure Agreement 2015
Yes you can....
This agreement does not seek to exclude the application of the Conduct Code where behaviours are a clear breach of the standards expected within the code. However, it is agreed that a mechanistic or trigger point based use of the conduct code is not appropriate as a means of managing road traffic accidents.
and The Road Traffic Accident Procedure is here..
