It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Not wanting to be responsible for another share price tank, I will take the fifth.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

It;s working amazingly well
.....have been in the office with our bullying managers every day this week and had to hand in 4 grievance letters off disgruntled posties, mainly thanks to one of the narcississtic personality disordered management quoting " I can force you into working over your time " routine.

Can you put a grievance in regarding a forced in revision with no feedback from staff , knowing it was gonna fail big time? For some unknown reason our union accepted it , which we cdnt believe

Rumours abound that the parcel only duties won't be going in as it won't provide the savings the DOM and higher ups are after.

Re: The "how is/was your revision" thread
Ours revision has been in a few months now and is a total shambles with most walks failing massively daily, union have got involved and have told whoever they need to things can’t stay like this as will only get worse with peak, gonna end up with another revision and resign at this rate, been so stressful for so long morale is through the floor, looking around some days I reckon 1/3 of the mail only going out as there’s too many tracked parcels too prioritise. I know we have a start and finish time and that’s what everyones doing now especially now they’re not paying overtime either but it’s so disheartening coming into parcels and mail days old and it just keeps coming at you.

What do people think are the reasons Georoute and the planners are getting it wrong? What data is missing, or what things have been unaccounted for? Our structural is coming up soon.

Local knowledge. Posties with extensive experience of routes, and their contribution. Just my opinion.

Re: The "how is/was your revision" thread
It's virtually the same flawed system they used in the van share revision and everyone knows how that went.
The planners have practically zero knowledge or experience of what a postie does or the areas that they are planning.
I'll guess that the planners are inline for a bonus payment when each revision is completed, one which they got in the van share revision and something that skews the whole process of doing it right the first time IMHO.
It's not about managing the workloads of frontline staff, which they keep telling everyone, it's more about budget savings, it always is and always will be foremost in their minds.
The van share revision was a disaster and the whole management culture turned overnight for the worse as they tried to force in what was unworkable and couldn't be achieved and here everyone is again ,a little over a decade later, trying to do the very same thing off of even dodgier foundations created all those years ago.
Only an idiot or a madman does the same things over and over again and expects a different result.

Remember the culture change agreement terry? They would listen to the frontline staff who do the grafting day in day out . Nothing has changed .

Re: The "how is/was your revision" thread
Our revision has been planned with some walks at 62% and others at 68% call rate. Previous revision was planned at 80% call rate across the board.
