Workington DO and nearby to fail revisions?

Post by POSTMAN »

DOM: I've been given time scales of 35 days to implement a full revision start to finish, these times scales are not realistic and are not achievable.

We have started the revision in my unit far too late in the year to hit these deadlines why is this, and there is not only me in our sector who has been tagged with these unrealistic time scales we are under huge pressure with these short time scales to implement a full revision that should take 14 weeks we have been told we have 35 days.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

the reason is that our new ceo has to put a statement to the stock market in November so he wouldnt want to tell them that he has failed on what he has said but regardless what they has said if , so it is not right DONT signed anything off and it takes as long as it takes but as long as it is right , we are in the same boat in our area and the cwu are partly to blame as trying to do a revision by the end of October at the busyiest time of the year is crackers imo  and that just shows how clueless they all are , and why would staff want a rushed and bullshit revision just to get 1 hour off the working week when April 22 we are down to go to a 35 hour week ? well according to the agreement anyway , so why wouldnt they be basing the revisions on a 35 hr week ? so it smells like a fart in a lift if you ask me .

If he is talking about a table top revision he just needs to get off his arse and get on with it.
It's not like the whole thing has come as a big surprise.
If he can't do it perhaps he should think about moving on ......
If he means a structural revision - they don't need 14 weeks to mess the office up. They can do that in 35 days easily.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Just because a revision is "done" doesn't mean it's good.

My office has had it's revision but still fails mail everyday.

Where's SuperTel and Twitterman in all this?
Where's the Facepalm live session?
Where's RMC's greatest used deal salesman ex-dingo?

They're trying to push these revisions through too fast and at the worst time of the year to the point where even their own managers are bricking it and the union does a Lord Lucan?

It would be funny but it's f***ing not. :cuppa

And they want everything back to “normal “ by the 1st of September , and revisions implemented by October, why we are going through all this I don’t know but it won’t make things better.

Clearly they never learnt from the 2010 revision and what a disaster that was in the lead up to Christmas but would the employees expect anything less from Royal Fail. Full of ideas but couldn't run a bath even with an instruction manual.
