Covid 2.0
As it seems Covid 2.0 seems to be on its way I think it would be nice to remind people to maintain/reevaluate there social distancing and self hygiene. To give a second thought to people who will be/are operating on different hours or will even be asked to self isolate again due to personal circumstances and not give them grief or petty s**t chat in the office. Bare in mind some people will be handling events better than others. Just in general be kind to each other because If this thing does give us s**t again on the run up to Christmas we are in for a tough time. Colder, Wetter, Darker and busier. We are all in this together so lets not turn on each other.

I'd like to see RM strongly re-enforcing messages on hygeine, wiping surfaces, cleaning vans etc. People have largely given up. Used PPE lying round the place etc.
I'd also like to see compulsory mask wearing in offices, I have no idea why RM haven't brought this in.

RM could be much firmer on "Covid safe" procedures but they know this would be detrimental to their bottom line. Covid may as well not be happening in our place. That's from management and colleagues. Those that do insist on being safe are treated poorly by management and colleagues. That doesn't have to be us though. I will continue to respect peoples decisions, circumstances and personal space.

I've been treated like a social outcast in my office simply for asking people to respect my personal space. They come in to my personal space when there is an alternative way of doing things that take at the very most, 5 extra seconds.Ren Hoëk wrote:RM could be much firmer on "Covid safe" procedures but they know this would be detrimental to their bottom line. The worst offenders are people who will willingly work two to a frame (them and their partner) so they can fly out the door at 8:30am, they will shoe horn 'can't do that cos of covid' into ANYTHING that doesn't suit them, but blatantly disregard distancing rules to make their day easier.

Are you saying Covid isn't real? We had a guy in our office quite ill with it earlier in the year. My Best Man also got quite ill with it. Posties have died ffs.number one wrote:Who has had a confirmed case in their office? It's not on. Iv actually been reminded about being too close to someone and iv replied "Oh yeh, Of course, Sorry...". Thats all it takes but to be given stick about it is pathetic. Keep ya head up and know its them not you that is the problem.Cucumber wrote:I've been treated like a social outcast in my office simply for asking people to respect my personal space. I didn't know anyone with lung cancer until my mum died of it.
Me not knowing anyone with it was f**k all use to her, f**k all use to anyone who dies of it.

We’ve had a few and one of them was very serious , on a ventilator and nearly died and 3.5 months in hospital.number one wrote:Who has had a confirmed case in their office? I'm pretty sure the guy in our office that died on a ventillator four weeks after going sick with symptoms had it.number one wrote:Who has had a confirmed case in their office? Its really down to posties and their managers using some common sense. We have a one way system in place but most of our aisles at their widest isn't 2m wide and the fact that posties are regularly bumping into each other whilst trying to navigate their way round Yorks and packet shrouds means that social distancing is simply non existent. Part of the problem is that not every postie can work from home and/or wants to start an evening shift delivering post.
However, I do find it ever so amusing that we can't van share whilst wearing face masks even though the gaffer can be stood right in my face with a clipboard asking me whether I might be going over.

On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.
