As I said I'm a newbie. I just went into my 7th week. I love it. Now all became clear to me and manage to finish in time. I need the money so I don't say no to any extra bag when I'm coming back to the office. So far so good . I know there is more to learn... I'll get there eventually. I've seen there is a problem with my tax code...I'm paying around £130 every week? Is that normal? I don't feel it right. Cheerio

Your on emergency tax code, I was until my P45 came through from my previous employer. I then rang HMRC to notify them, they contacted HR and got it sorted within a week. A week later I got a nice lump sum back in my wages.

Welcome, glad you are enjoying it and the 6-week wall is behind you. There are a few new starters still in that period that may like someone with recent experience of it commenting in their threads. Pile in if you want, or lurk, either way happy to see you here.

Hello. A friend of mine was suspended from work ( postie too) he received a letter saying he will be paid during the investigation. What's next? He is not aloud to speak about the "thing" but is worried about his future in this job. He is the most correct and honest chap I ever met and I know 100% is not guilty of whatever has done( can't say the reason from obvious reasons).he is not in the union. What's next after that letter? Thank you
