Tracking dbs check

Hi all

Im waiting to be given a start date, pending my dbs criminal check. I’m pretty nervous on this because I was charged with assault 13 years ago and did community service and paid a fine. Its my first and last offence, just hope it don’t affect my chance of employment after it’s been a long process. Be ashame if I fell at last fence due to a mistake 13 years ago.
Is there any way I can track my dbs.

As far as I know there is no way to track a DBS.

Also dependent on the sentence you received surely you should be well beyond the time limits for Rehab of Offenders Act, and whilst it always better to divulge even a spent conviction I don't think you have much to worry about.

It really depends on weather it is spent but also if it’s filtered by dbs or not. Can you be more specific regarding the act and section you were arrested under?

It was a section 47 assault . 13 year ago so I’m hoping it’s spent by now but not sure how the system works?

I think you will be fine. I had a similar thing when I was 16 and received a police caution which becomes spent immediately but still shows on standard dbs (but not basic). Looking at the gov basic check page it says a fine/community service becomes spent after 12 months. Either way let us know when u find out. Good luck

Yes only a basic check.

I got an enhanced check (SCOTLAND) as was driving buses with kids ect, and 2 breaches of the peace didn't come up even though I declared them to first group. Was told that anything except sexual crime, jail sentence, fraud over seven years would not report. I found that very strange and did not reasure me of some of the people in charge of schools ect. You should be ok anyway and good luck. Give it a chance, it's not a great job anymore but it still is a very good one for all the faults.
