3 month waiting list...

Had an interview which went incredibly well thinking i did enough to secure the position but been put on this waiting list for 3 months and how often does this lead to a job? A friend of mine says the position i applied for was basically already taken by someone on the waiting list so i actually could not secure that particular position and i am wondering what is the chance of me now getting a job any answers would be greatly appreciated.

I would say a fairly good chance.

A lot of posters on here went on to the waiting list before being hired. I was one such person 14 years ago

Also the fact that the turn over rate amongst new staff is fairly high for an unskilled profession, and that the busy period (Sep to Christmas) is fast approaching.

I was also placed on the waiting list after my interview i saw a job advertised at a different branch applied im now in my second week as a royal mail employee and loving it so answer yes there is a possibility of getting a job just keep an eye on jobs in your area

I was put on a waiting list and got a call just before the 3 months was up offering me a job so don't give up hope

I was put on waiting list and had a call to offer me the same position only a week later so it does happen.

Just waiting for security clearance and a start date

Im new here, I am on the waiting list I am right in thinking that you click on the "link" apply for the job you want and the ignore the email asking for your email. And then just wait?. How do you know your application has gone through?

I was put on a waiting list after my interview which I felt went quite well, got a call within two weeks offering me a job.
