Evening all. My name's Gel and I've got no hair. Just discovered this forum so I thought I'd register to get a chance to hear new arguments and get information to use at work in reply to the propaganda we're being bombarded with from management as the ballot gets underway. Hopefully we'll get the massive yes vote we need to show them we won't be intimidated into accepting their attacks on our pay and conditions.

Welcome Nohairgel - we used to have a bloke at work like you and we called him Eagle, not quite what DRAW has in mind but it is part of the banter us posties have.

I'm from the jubilee mail centre,Hounslow. Rep doesn't seem to say a lot about anything really. A few people seem to be falling for the scare mongering about the future if we strike but we're working on them and hopefully it will be solid if and when it comes to it. One women from Poland asked me if I'd jump in a fire if the union told me to. She doesn't seem to realise that everything that attracted her to this country was fought for and won by the trade union movement.Except the nice weather of course.

That Polish lady, Really should know better!!! She comes from a place that started Solidarity.. Leach valwencer or wot ever his name is spelt like???

And in the 2nd world war these Polish people fought with us against Nazi persicution.. So maybe she was sold out by Unions in her own country
but she should remember this... We as a country let her and many thousands in this SMALL ISLE of ours with open arms to work But NOT HELP BRING DOWN
