I think we should all give congratulations and take our hats off to Postman. He started this site back in August last year and this week membership has hit the 500 mark. The site gives every postal worker in the country the platform to share news and views. I know the thread about the ongoing dispute in our office has had over 5000 hits and the lads have gained great strength from the knowledge that others are interested in our situation.PLEASE TELL AS MANY AS YOU CAN ABOUT THE SITE. MORE MEMBERS MEANS MORE VIEWS AND SHARED IDEAS AND ADVICE.

I'd echo every word of that. (See also my post in the 'strike breakers' thread).

I would say that having a site like this has other benefits, too. When a manager told us at WTLL last week that his feeling was there just isn't the appetite out there for a strike vote, I just sat there with a confident smirk on my face. For once, I didn't just suspect he was giving us bullsh!t. This time, I knew he was

Absolutely!

Very well done Postman.

RM seems to be pouring out their propoganda on a daily basis, and this site provides a vital antidote.

I suggest anyone looking in to check out the 'Burslem guys' thread for inspiration on how the job should be.

I've learnt a hell of a lot from this board and i hope everyone else has as well and if you haven't yet you certainly will.

I've done a private thanks but I would also like to add my public thanks to POSTMAN for this site. I now feel less pressured by the BS coming down from the top and I have learnt a lot.

yeah thanks for a great site. its good to have somewhere to find out whats going on in the company (not alot of news is shared with us at mdec), and its good to have some insight into what its like to work in other sections of the business.

Got to agree Postman great site, in this job especialy during disputes it can be lonely place because your never sure what other post people in the country are thinking, its good to know that most of us think the same . Once again well done

What I enjoy about this board is all the information that you can get. Its really usefull when talking to the Lineo as he says something about what I have heard on this site and his info is out of date and I can tell him so.
