silly question dude there is no news about anything from the cwu all through this strike
i notice they keep on taking our subs though !!
if it wasnt for this site we would all be in the fuc king dark!!!!!!!!!!

Joint Statement issued by CWU & POL

Negotiations have continued with POL in respect of the disputes at Supply Chain and Crown Offices and some progress has been made in a number of key areas. In view of this the Union has agreed to extend the current ‘period of calm’ and continue negotiations until Tuesday 19th September 2007. The following draft Joint Statement has been agreed between POL and the CWU.

“We have held a series of constructive meetings to explore ways of resolving the Supply Chain and Crown Office disputes.

Our joint discussions have been positive and there has been some tangible progress, to this end we have jointly agreed to continue talks and have meetings planned up to Tuesday 18th Septemberâ€

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

we were told at work that an announcement was due from cwu by our rep this morning but that he had heard unofficially that the news wasnt good. :sad:

has an agreement been reached??i.e. a lump sum payment to all counter staff as compensation for the withdrawal of saturday premiums??

There was a printed email today from Cook and Co saying that pay broadbanding? had been agreed and a ballot was to follow - more info gratefully received!!
