I was on a rolling six-month contract when I joined RM (the old hands called us 'plastics'). Anyway, after we got converted to permanent status, I asked my line manager if we'd get a bonus at Christmas.

"You got a feckin job for life, son... what more do you want ??' was the response

And I was hoping for some GOOD news !

Over the years, i have had:

Stamps, a video from Vanessa Leeson (I think that was her name and she gave it to me in August) about the "Way Forward", a packet of seeds, more stamps (fewer than previous year) and this year (2007) RM took £100 bonus off me and swapped it for 92p!

Every year we get 50 free stamps. Had a huge box of chocs one year and wine once i think. Worst has to be vouchers for a company which went bust shortly after
