I think you can transfer your contributions to another pension plan.

Re: pension advic
I think you can get it back if you were in the pension scheme for less than 2 years. If you were in the scheme for more than 2 years, sidybhoy wrote:hi there i left the company in november but i am still getting stuff about my penison, what happened to the money i payed in and can i get it back
you can transfer the money into another scheme. Otherwise your pension entitlement is frozen until you reach 60.

Re: pension advic
You won't get a full pension - you need 45 years contributions now for a full pension. With 20 years service you would get a bit less than half your current pension entitlement, that would be a bit less than 25% of your current pensionble pay.bringon4dayweeks wrote:if ive paid in for 20 yrs then i leave and dont get another job or dont transfer my pension do i get full pension at 60?

Re: pension advic
They wouldn't get a full pension with only 14 years contributions, unless they have transferred in pensions contributions from a previous employment, or bought added years. If they took EVR they may also have got up to 6 and two thirds years enhancement.bringon4dayweeks wrote:ive known posties pick up full pensions with less service say 14 yrs

Re: pension advic
You will get a pension based on your pay when you left and how many years you were in the job.bringon4dayweeks wrote:if ive paid in for 20 yrs then i leave and dont get another job or dont transfer my pension do i get full pension at 60?
