The Union has placed a paid-for advertisement in the Evening Standard yesterday and today. Branches who are able to view a copy should make themselves aware of the content of that advert.
In addition, the Union is planning to place an advertisement in several national newspapers this Thursday. We are currently in the process of negotiating for that space and more details will follow.
The ad is a strong visual attempt to carry our message to a wider audience. It would be useful if those Branches that are able to place the same advert in local and regional newspapers. A pdf file will be available by early tomorrow.
News coverage
Whilst our media coverage continues to be strong, it is worth paying particular attention to today’s Daily Mirror. We have a front page lead story about Royal Mail plans to cut pensions that links to the current dispute. The article has been a success of our continuing media relationships and a lot of effort has paid off in an extremely supportive article. In addition, the paper dedicates its editorial “Voice of the Mirrorâ€

A TNT driver offered me his letter today to post so i told him to put it in the postbox as i cannot accept mail off the public he called me a F***ing prick i told him to use DSA Down stream arseholes he soon disappeared.
