STRIKE OFFICIALLY CALLED OFF?

According to our line manager, the strike scheduled for Saturday has been called off, and everyone is expected to turn up for work as initially planned.

Anyone else been told about this?

Yeah that's right,a manager knows,and us on the union e-mail alerts will be told fri nite :roll:
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

LOL, the thing is even some of the other employees have been saying the same thing when i went around looking for confirmation. hmmm, will ask another manager in the morning.

cant see it being true though, unless different offices have different policies on national strikes? or are they always taken together on the same day?

For a more reliable response, I'd ask a Union rep not one of the multi faced lying brigade we call managers.

There could be a possibility that as you live in gloucestershire and have had post disrupted by floods, your area may have dispensation to work. Ask your rep not a Manager as they would try anything to get you to break the strike.

even in gloucestershire a strike is a strike would not expect to see them working after all it's a national event
even if there's been floods
and as for it being called off what stupid manager(and i guess thers plenty to chose from) would even think that the only true message will come from union hq

i say chaps i would have been notified by text message if this was the case old buddies
and i wouldn't listen to those naughty old managers saying things that may possibly be wrong.


there is that the way we are supposed to reply to threads now without being on conduct.

And way does he think the strikes been called off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Lieghton and Crozier will not meet with the CWU and as far as i am aware no meetings are scheduled.

Managers are told to try and convince us,changes will happen,no matter what and tell us to except them.We are not against changes....but please discuss them with us first please.When and if our problems are sorted out,it'll be the turn of the Managers,then i suppose the CMA Union will be asking us to support them,well they can go and take a long walk off a short pier :Very Happy
