I NEVER EVEN THOUGHT OF RTSING THE BUGGERS! GENIUS.
When I used to read it, I was always a bit suspicious of the letters pages. I `know` for a fact it can`t be posties writing most of them. Seems like a not very subtle psychological magic trick.
PMSL, at least they try, I`ll give them that.

Re: re courier magazine
That's what I always do. If WTL wasn't compulsory, how many of us would bother with it? Same goes for that rag.dongash wrote:i don't know why people are getting "pissed off " with the courier magazine and its lies/propaganda!!! there is an easy solution to the problem....... just kill it off and throw it in the dead letter box! problem solved!!! regards dongash opg macclesfield sk :lfo :cfo :lfo :cfo :lfo :cfo :lfo :cfo :lfo :cfo :lfo :cfo :lfo :cfo

Re: courier strike breakers
Thats about it mate. A few months ago they had a nugget in our office going on about how great the late starts are. What it didn't say was he's got a duty which doesn't work on Saturdays.cornishrep wrote:Where do they get them cheesey b*******d idiots grinning up to pose in that rag?

I haven't had time to read it yet,and you guys have just posted the best bits
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Here's a summary of this month's Courier:POSTMAN wrote:I haven't had time to read it yet,and you guys have just posted the best bits![]()
Royal Mail is a great employer.
Such and such an office has broken all targets for delivering mailsort/packets/door2door. (Take your pick)
The strike willcost us (?) business.
Some shiny arsed manager has come up with a new cash saving idea.
Letters Page: (All edited to avoid any hint of disent)
Some first aid competition was won by six lads from an office somewhere.
A big list of lucky bastards who are retiring after eighty years service each.
Sport: Some bloke running a half-marathon in aid of a kids hospital. He's got to do that because the scum running he country have spent all our taxes on tax breaks for the rich and keeping several hundred lads in Basra Mixed Infants and Juniors school hall when they would sooner be home in Blighty.
It's also the summary for next month's Courier and the next one after that until Christmas when the front cover will be a postman traipsing through two feet of snow to deliver the parish magazine. Beat that TNT, you lazy shower of sods.
