Resident discovers post bag in road

ROYAL Mail is investigating an incident in which a sack of post was left in the road.

A resident in Coombe-lands, Royston, discovered the sack on Friday morning sitting in the middle of the road

It contained hundreds of letters and small parcels which were due to be delivered in Maple Way and Cherry Drive, Royston

A spokesman for Royal Mail said: "It appears that the sack fell out of an unlocked side door of the delivery van as the driver had to brake sharply to avoid a vehicle.

"This is an isolated incident which shouldn't have happened and there will be an investigation into the incident.

After taking the sack home, the resident gave it to a different postman who returned it to the sorting office in Grantham Close, Royston.

In today's climate it looks as though a driver is for the boot.

this happened whilst i was bossin, luckily a good person found it and brought into the office, i managed to get it too the del man before he finished and he delivered it i then sent the driver to tescos to buy and deliver a goodly amount of booze to the good samaritan, no one who didnt need to know ever found out

Manager sabotages door = mail falling out = driver sacked = unofficial walkout.........allegedly

cheers, stuff karma but look out for your own, pity i aint bossin these days but bangin your head againdt a wall hurts after a while, the lad is still with us no problems in the end sorted the bugger of it was that i was the kind of boss i would love to have hey ho what goes around comes around one day he may save my ass
