Hello

Post by tommymac »

Hi to one and all. I'm a postman at Burslem DO ( Stoke-on- Trent). I've worked for Royal Mail for 24 years and had some good times and some bad ones. Our office has a reputation in the midlands for being militant (ask the managers who have been drafted in recently to cover walks). If standing up for your rights, supporting your work mates and taking action to protect jobs is militant, then yes, we're militant. The truth is we're just a group of people who want to be treated fairly and are prepared to stand up and say so.

Welcome Tommy, and good luck to all you guys up there.
You've done the right thing in your DO,wish it was all round though.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

 Hey Tommymac! I don't work at Burslem but I'm it's number 1 fan. :Applause When the rest of RMs workforce emulate your office we'll start to become the happy motivated people that ALAN :Boo hoo! wants us all to be.
