I'm sure the details of your new job are for your eyes only.

What would be interesting is your situation in leaving before the dispute is settled.

Any increase in pay would be backdated to April's pay, so the longer the dispute goes on, and if more money suddenly appears on the table, the more we will get as a lump sum as back pay dating since the beginning of April.

But for anyone leaving before the dispute is settled, will they be entitled to the back pay as well dating from the beginning of April, up until they leave?

Bearing in mind your'e not on Her Majesty's Secret Service anymore RM will have a licence to kill off your record.
But saying this if you were to receive the back pay which should make you feel like Goldfinger with the amount the Union are looking for you could have a thunderball of a party and have pussy galore.
Then off to a casion royal with a view to a kill and moonraker in some more cash.

Your pension i dr no about that but Crozier said you only live twice which is a lie so you could freeze it or have it transferred into your new jobs one.
I'd like to beat the living daylights out of him and stick one in his goldeye.

The man with the golden gun Leighton may have other ideas the world is not enough for him,but he's just a octopussy anyway,i wish he'd just live and let die.

Oh,regarding the partying i mentioned if you get busted by the missus just tell her it was the spy who loved me! and that it was my fault, buy her a rock and tell her Diamonds are for ever,so you'll live to die another day.
Best to make this post for your eyes only, tomorrow never dies so this post will still be here.

From russia wirth love (i'm on holiday, your untaken amount, you will get payed for.)

As for annual leave, you will be entitled to a pro rata of your annual leave, so if you leave at the end of June, you will get a quarter of what you would have in a year. If you've already had a 2 week holiday since April, then you would have gone over the annual leave entitlement, and have it deducted when you leave. If you haven't had anything or only had a few days, then you'll either have it added at the end or take it during your notice period so nothing is owing.

As for the pension, if you choose to leave it frozen, you should be able to find out how much it will be worth a month based on how long you paid in. This figure increases with inflation every year, so don't think if you find you only get £100 per month now, and it's 30 years till retirement, you will still get £100 per month then.

You could choose to transfer this money into another pension plan with either your new employer, or privately. Royal Mail can tell you how much the plan is worth, so you can then decide (with some expert advice) whether it's worth doing or just leaving it as it is.

A good idea. Perhaps to see the next James Bond film in the cinema when it's made. However if you go on the day it's released, you'll be sure to see a "Q" at the cinema :Very Happy :Very Happy :Very Happy

NOTICE

Post by cappamore »

Statutory notice is one week for each complete year's service between 2 and 12 years. Check your contract of employment. it'll probably reflect that. You'll usually be asked to take any outstanding annual leave during your notice period.

You don't have to abide by this though. If you leave without seeing out all of your notice there's not much RM can do; other than sue you! and to do that they'd have to prove that it cost them more to cover your job than it would to have paid you had you attended for work during your notice period. Not recommended though as RM might get nasty and not provide a reference. You do not have any statutory entitlement to a reference. in fact no employee has.
