This should be the last option after all other options have been exhausted.

Who "advised " you?

what's your health condition or injury ?

For looking into a IHR Assessment, your health issues needs to last longer than 9 months plus as RM classes this as the "Forseeable Future" during the IHR process.

you also need to share all your medical records so the IHR assessor can look at it and base the decision medically too (can be done by your request through your GP).

You need to mention how your injury/illness affects your daily life, along with any type of work safely or not safely.
Also what is helpful is a OH assessment for looking into adjustment to duties if applicable or not.

You can if you're wanting to even after OH assessments put it in writing to your line manager that your struggling with your duties along with daily life (if applicable) and that you want to look into a ill health assessment.

I'm a former postie who got IHR after 17 years.
