Have your Say Survey's
We have just finished this years, in passed years I and several others have taken the survey HOME and gained great enjoyment in filling the comments it the back. This year the DSM has got wise and decided that no-one could take it home. Also you had to fill it in in the presence of your line manager and then you had to hand back to him. The results were alarming, for the last three years the management team have failed in just about every way, this year still not brillant, but a hell of an improvement. The management team put it down to 'working together', me I put it down to good old fashioned CHEATING. Has anybody else got the impression that the management team are now just trying to get over the once yearly hurdle in whatever way they can. Has anybody else had problems this year, has anybody witnessed anything that raises eyebrows or questions the validity of the results.

My D.O.M. only takes me down the conduct
code to 'help me' to learn from my mistakes.
For this, I thank him, I now, know the code
better than he does, which indeed helps.

MINE WAS POSTED TO ME , AND THEN I FILLED IT IN AND POSTED IT ON.
THAT IS SO WRONG TO FILL IT OUT IN FRONT OF YOUR MANAGER AND THEN HAND IT BACK. BET I KNOW WHERE THAT WENT STRAIGHT IN THE BIN!!!
THAT IS LIKE HERE IS A PEN WRITE SOMETHING NICE ABOUT US.
REALLY THAT IS UNACEPTABLE IN THE WORK PLACE.
IT IS FOR YOUR DISCRETION ONLY AND NOT TO BE WATCHED BY THOSE CRETINS(HOPE I SPELT THAT RIGHT) WELL YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN THOSE BULLYING ARSEHOLE MANAGERS.
TAKE IT HOME NEXT TIME BALLS TO THEM THEY CAN'T FORCE YOU TO FILL IT IN

There has actually been occassions in my office where people have been dug up about things that they have written on their HYS surveys. So much for confidentiallity.
I find it strange when they ask you to be honest about your manager on these forms and then you have to hand it to him or her to read over. Chances are if you have worked there a while they will know your style of writing, your way of coming across or will notice familiaritys in your commments.
It is about time there was a national boycott of stunts like these, along with other farcical projects like DRAW. If the Union doesn't call for people to stop participating in this crap then we should start doing it ourselves, office by office up and down the country.
IT IS TIME FOR US STOPPING TO BE USED AS THE TOOLS FOR MANAGEMENT PROPAGANDA

We used to do ours at wtl on a tuesday but this this year due to having people off sick the wtl was cancelled and we got to take ours home.. Instead the whole D.O filling it out, the gaffa made an annoucement that the company had only 10 replies back from our office!! This could be a good thing i.e the staff have told them like its is or the bad thing the kiss ass members of staff telling them porkies!!!
Is it wrong to be strong

It has been suggested that any spare forms, say from people on the sick, could easily be filled in by the Mangers.

We have a meeting type thing and fill them out in the canteen all together.
But it really is a f***ing pointless exercise, waste of paper and ink.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

have your say
Lads there is no legal requirement to fill these in at work or otherwise. If you dont want to do it bin it and there is nothing they can do in spite of anything those numpty managers might tell you.

I think your missing a great opportnity here, in the last three years by putting pen to paper, a few people have become a major pain in the neck. In the last three years we have managed to produce such bad results, personel have had to come into the office to find out what the hell is going on. Last year we managed to get the most senior manager in the area down, to have a 'frank chat', great fun. Its just nice to see the managers squirm and the resultant hissy fit.

We had that. Some of the comments which ended up on the noticeboard were class. Some woman came down to the office and asked if I could see why it was important that Royal Mail became profitable. I said of course I could. Who else was going to make the money while the managers sat about swilling tea all day? She didn't look too pleased.postie dave wrote:I think your missing a great opportnity here, in the last three years by putting pen to paper, a few people have become a major pain in the neck.
