Bad reviews on PDA

Post by geordieboy123 »

I noticed on my PDA today that I’ve had 2 1/10 reviews so I asked my manager for details as the pda told me to do but I was told “don’t worry about it “ well I bloody well am as it’s inconceivable that I would have provided a bad service. When I pushed it with the manager he said “I can give the reasons but not details of the customers who made the complaint” is this correct? I’m in a position where both the company and CWU want me out so could there be some skullduggery going on?

Like you I and some of my colleagues have had poor reviews but management have not been keen to share any details.
How can you improve the service if you don't know what is bothering the customer?

But who knows what goes on in the heads of some people?
Maybe the package arrived later than they were expecting due to a hold up in the pipeline, but only one person would get a negative review.
Maybe the took the estimated time of arrival as some sort of gospel truth and weren't happy it arrived 30 minutes later.
Maybe they got you mixed up with the DPD driver who left a package in the rain 2 days ago.

Who knows and who cares?
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Our manager has informed us that some of the bad scores are customers moaning about RM service in general and not specifically about the final delivery, so he doesn't bother with them. He said if we were in the doo doo then we'd know about it.

How do you leave a review about your postie? I’ve never been asked to review my postie, my manager says companies like M&S or John Lewis normally ask the customer once they’ve been notified that the parcel has been delivered.

Management are forever harassing people to check My Doorstep and when you do look; whether you get a 1/10 or a 10/10, when you actually follow the directive 'see your manager for details' none are ever forthcoming.

It's like trying to discuss Outdoor Actuals - they have all the metrics and you can't ever see them.
The machine stops.

I got a 2/10 for a tracked from a customer because the dpr driver the day before with an untracked item was a dick so I got the rant. I hate customers

Having clicked the "how did we do" button for a tracked I received I noticed that most of the questions are to do with RM in general, not you personally.

The reason managers don't tell you what you did wrong is often because they gave 2/10 to royal mail for historic perceived injustices

I think the option to review is triggered when you receive the notification from RM that your item has been delivered, same as when you receive something from DPD evri etc, no idea why you should have to ask a manager to show you whatever the recipient put surely it would make sense for us to just view it ourselves on the PDA anyway the manager can see all the details for the item, address, delivery photo, location, tracking number etc so if they say otherwise they're lying.

Yes would be nice to see, but I can see why it isn't. Bosses know we'll add that person to our s**t list.

I've always had high scores until last week when suddenly i got three bad ones in a row. Odd that they've took a nose dive like that. In the last month I've been threatened with violence for no reason, had doors shut in my face and dealt with the dregs of humanity. Quite often we are delivering damaged items (usually the notorious Amazon boxes) so that may account for some of it. I've also delivered wet packets due to a different parcel leaking and soaking everything else. I also had one who yelled at me for putting a parcel in her porch rather than stand in the rain waiting for her to come downstairs. They regard us as plebs unfortunately.

My manager shared details of some of the good feedback I've had when i asked including telling me which addresses. I imagine they won't tell me who the bad ones are from though if I bother to ask. I agree with the previous poster that management won't want us adding these tossers to our s**t lists and scanning everything "no answer" in future. Having said that. My manager really wasn't bothered when I queried the recent bad scores, its not a big deal. An actual complaint is a different matter i think.

I've never had a manager decline a request for who gave a negative review, usually they are asking us what happened to the package we were supposed to delivery to X address?

If customer are complaining because you haven't delivered a parcel to their safe place etc who can you rectify the issue if you don't know who's complained or the reason for their complaint?
