The USO shouldn't be deployed in an office until a revision has put enough duties back in to make it workable.

RM will have a date in mind that they want it up and running everywhere. The DOMs will simply be told to get it done, if they don't they'll just be moved on.

The last I heard of uso changes at the office was the dim saying it's coming in in September and there are duty options on a board. This was a while ago. In the meantime there's all these rumours, the vote never happened and there have been no official coms from management. Not the best considering it's quite a big thing and could involve redundancies.

Impossible. Recruitment was frozen up until last month in anticipation the first wave of ODM rollouts were going to be in place from September, so if duties were put back in there'd be no-one to do them. If there's no-one to do them then musical chairs continues. We can never start a revision from a clean slate anymore. The crisis is permanent.

Really, Saturdays should have been dealt with years ago. If the company can weasel out of a full Saturday service now on a technicality without having to wait for parliament to change the USO, then it could have done it properly after 2020.
The machine stops.

September was the date, that isn't happening.

They would get 100% of staff on board with any type of ODM if they made Saturdays a)shorter, b)1C, Specials and T24 only, and c)every other Saturday off.

They would get ODM on board if they made our job achievable in any sense of the word. Job is unachievable meaning morale has tanked extra badly over the last 5 years.

No other workplace conditions do this to their workforce for poverty wages.

I would love to see certain posters on this forum tell me differently and defend RM/CWU... With facts of course :wave

I don't understand the light and heavy days, if one postie is doing the full duty on one round and the other just Tracked etc on the other, where's the company saving any money as they still have to employ two posties to cover the two duties?
