Martin and Dave
Where are you hiding
Obviously your proposed plan for ODM has been rammed up you by RM
As if we didnt see that coming
What are you actually doing to earn your salary paid for membership who are again being left in the dark
Question is it easier to rig online voting rather than poastal system

Re: Martin and Dave
I have been holding off voting until we got the update on it
I assume there will be many doing the same thing
The silence is shocking from the union.
Even if its to tell us RM have laughed in their faces, at least tell us that and what their next plan of action is.

If you tolerate this, then your paid break will be next

Re: Martin and Dave
My hunch is if they've both not disappeared on their annual holidays is that they are keeping their heads down until voting is finished next week, assuming they can see the rolling votes count as the votes arrive, then that probably means the yes vote is winning comfortably, otherwise they'd be telling us all why a yes vote was so important, or the no vote is so high they've given up!?

Re: Martin and Dave
Is it a case of them not being allowed to communicate while the vote is open?
A bit like politicians not being allowed to campaign on polling day.

No. There's no legal restriction that stops the CWU (or RM) from communicating with members while voting is open. They can send updates, reminders and still continue campaigning hard for a “Yes” or “No.”Jefferson Starfish wrote: ↑20 Aug 2025, 06:49Is it a case of them not being allowed to communicate while the vote is open?

This is more strategic than legal. Often unions choose to go quiet to avoid contradicting themselves mid-ballot or because they don’t want last-minute disputes to derail the pay element.
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

Wasn’t it royal mails idea that the CWU agreed to trial that clearly hasn’t worked or is that not how you want to view it ?hans solo wrote: ↑19 Aug 2025, 19:01Where are you hiding

Cwu proposal was just as s**t but RM kicked it back as it wasnt doing away enough jobs
Cwu version still to be presented to membership
The fat boys are a law unto themselves and not up to leading anything let slone a national union should be romoved from position
They are being played by RM and they dont have an answer to it
From such a position of strengtth from the membership at the last agreemnt where they caved in as the business wouldnt survive
Well here we are again f***ing clowns

Re: Martin and Dave
If the real issue was about optimum delivery model to achieve targets then you would have smaller rounds and a postie for each with floaters and annual leave coverhans solo wrote: ↑20 Aug 2025, 14:31It was RM who proposed the 3 in 4 odmchickenwittle wrote: ↑20 Aug 2025, 13:46Wasn’t it royal mails idea that the CWU agreed to trial that clearly hasn’t worked or is that not how you want to view it ?hans solo wrote: ↑19 Aug 2025, 19:01Where are you hiding

Anything else “ Australian model “ “ 3 in 4 “ etc is just papering over cracks and destined to fail at any time of pressure
You can’t achieve quality of service without delivery staff

True. The suits only look at spreadsheets and the bottom line. The how and why of achieving doesn't enter their heads. They consider that as someone else's problem.

The last I heard about the pilots from Martin, after he visited Ayr, was that they were going swimmingly well! if I remember correctly were they not?
