Ballot timescale?

Post by dazer0070 »

How long now will we have to wait for these ballot papers to drop through our letterboxs now? Sept/Oct maybe, as need to wait for all the propaganda to commence yet….

We all know that this will be voted through. Delaying the ballot merely saves Royal Mail money as, given the current churn of staff, more and more people will have left the business before the pay rise is implemented and so will miss out on any back pay.

Why the delay?

Probably be a bit like last time when the CWU postponed the vote twice until they were confident of getting the result they wanted.
As before they will rely on a combination of threat, propaganda and psychology. You will be bombarded with misinformation followed by prolonged periods of radio silence designed to wear you down and give up hope of any alternative outcome.
There will be no plan B , the exec. are in control so you better do as you are told because they have no intention of carrying out the duties you pay them for if you defy their will.

Just leave the union if enough people do it they might start taking their jobs seriously again instead of licking EP arse .people can always rejoin if it ever becomes worth it again. Let ward and co.crash and burn like the workers who pay their wages

Cmon now, you have to give them at least a month to do the rounds convincing people this is a good deal. Then another month to sort the ballot. It will be October by the time we get a pay rise.

It's a no vote from me. I genuinely can't believe we are supposedly a highly unionised work force, and this pay deal is the best we can get. We are basically earning less than a few years ago. But expected to work more for the privilege. The union is just pretending it's still relevant to justify our weekly subs.

We are all roughly about £3k poorer due to inflation and that includes the latest 4.2%. Add on the loss of pay if you dare become sick. Yet we are being flogged to death every day for it. Martin Walsh all over FB this evening with the usual dismissive tone as well. They just will not except they have done a s**t job. That their continued presence is damaging our ability to function as a union.

It’s a s**t deal No doubt about it but I don’t kill myself out on delivery.

I have a start time and a finish time with 40 minutes in between and what I can’t get done I bring back.

End of.

I'm not on facebook, never have been, don't want to be. Can I see the CWU posts without signing up?

If that disgraceful last agreement got voted through, this will definitely be voted through.

This is exactly the correct attitude.
