Stick it out .

Post by comeracing »

They want staff in delivery with plenty of service to get so fed up and leave on there own accord, save save save , personally f##k em I've got 2 years left tops I'll be there until the bitter end ,unless they offer me VR before, managers don't give a toss ,all there concerned about is you going on my doorstep, and the good little boys and girls in each office getting the tracked done, to line the managers pockets with a nice little bonus ,not to mention the numbskulls who go in every day at least 30 minutes early, that's 90 % of my office .

The only reason RM would offer anyone VR is if they've already recruited enough new starters on inferior pay, terms, and conditions - the same staff the union is now desperately trying to "equalise" to bring them in line with us. But why are Royal Mail recruiting even more new entrants on worse contracts before the union can even get the equalisation sorted?

The CWU needs to push much harder to stop the business recruiting on inferior terms in the first place. Yes, they’ll say we’re short-staffed but the whole point of these so-called USO reforms is to reduce staff numbers over time anyway. On top of it all, the Union are pushing for a pay rise (which we need, don't get me wrong) and that might just widen the gulf between the existing staff and the new starters even more!! :left: The union needs to be completely honest with members about the long term risks and sort the inferior contracts out or we are just papering over the cracks again.
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

Anyone waiting on VR, well my advise is don't!!
They are currently shifting surpless of staff to other offices to balance things out. Do you really think they are going to recruit an understaffed office when they can just send a few newer starters from other offices to make the numbers up.
This has already happened in our offices and others will follow suit. VR then will be as rare as hens teeth. They're not daft!!

No different in any job, the workers do the work the managers/owners/shareholders pick up the bonuses/profits.
