LTB 116/25 – Royal Mail: Bonus Payments 2024/25 for Customer Experience, Finance, HR & Legal Services
No: 116/25

18th June 2025

Dear Colleagues,

ROYAL MAIL: BONUS PAYMENTS 2024/25 FOR CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE, FINANCE, HR & LEGAL SERVICES
Branches are reminded that the arrangements for the bonus schemes for our members working in Customer Experience, Finance and HR/Legal Services are based on Royal Mail’s overall business performance.

I am pleased to report the bonus for 2024/25 will be paid at the maximum for the respective Business Units. The total amounts payable are as follows:

Business Unit----------------- Bonus Payment 2024/25
HR/Legal Services--------------- £1,500
CE ---------------------------------£2,000
Finance ----------------------------£2,000

Additionally, LA1s within Logistics are also entitled to an annual bonus and will receive the maximum amount of £650.

All of these payments (pro-rata for part-timers) will be made with June salaries to those who have been in post since 1st January 2025 and who are still employed at the payment date.

These bonus payments have arisen from agreements the union has reached on behalf of the members concerned. Therefore, Branches and Representatives with members in these Business Units are encouraged to reinvigorate recruitment activities by focusing on this positive news which should aid recruitment amongst Admin grades.

Yours sincerely,

Andy Furey
Assistant Secretary

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Well done everyone I'm sure it's well deserved, we on the other hand got f**k all and it was a bastard today in this heat, especially uncomfortable in our hot sweaty non air-conditioned do and our vans.

HR and Finance jobs start at a salary of £23,080, add the bonus on to that and many still earn less than a new terms postie.

"...people in the top jobs..."

Yeah on that salary for a reason clearly then... and what do you think a posties salary is without all the overtime we do 🤔

By your logic, aren't posties clearly on a low salary for a reason too...? (For the record, I don't think they are)

I think you're missing the point, I'm simply pointing out that the starting salary for a CWU represented grade in HR or finance is not that of a worker in a top job, so divisive comments suggesting the LTB is talking about a population with their snouts in the trough is misjudged.

The vast majority of people working in HR, Finance and Customer Experience are on comparable packages to posties, just with an element of performance based (bonus) pay rather than guaranteed (basic) pay... they're not the enemy many on here think they are.

Different populations with different pay structures... and a different section on royal mail chat.

It's not hard for people to avoid posts not relevant to them by avoiding the sections not relevant to them; or alternatively come into this section and be civil and post based upon known facts, instead of posting misguided and divisive comments referring to people in "top jobs" in response to a bonus scheme aimed at entry level admin staff.

Maybe they just meant top as in the appreciation ladder in an office where as we just get ignored on the front line. Used and abused in all conditions.
