ID cards
I joined in October and as of leaving yesterday still hadn't recieved my ID card. The impression this gives is that RM never intended to keep me and were just using me to complete rounds while they looked for someone that will capitulate to bullying and sexism. RM is toxic, many people on this forum are reporting poor behaviour by line managers and colleagues. Why is nothing being done?

Re: ID cards
Nah, managers just can't be arsed to fill out a 2 minute form and submit a photo. People employed years who lost or broke their ID often wait for a year to get a new one because the managers just don't care.

Re: ID cards
Eh, I don't think it's personal. Every day I see a huddle of new guys that have been here a year up at the locker waiting to sign out on their PDA because they still don't have cards.
The machine stops.

Re: ID cards
Not sure if RM are about to crack down on people not having ID cards. A poster has gone up recently about having an ID card showing or being able to produce one when requested

Re: ID cards
RM managers are supposed to check quarterly that all staff RM and Agency have a) a ID card b) It is in date ( if applicable). All RM staff should be able to produce an ID card if requested.

Re: ID cards
Never seen a manager checking quarterly, think they only check if they get prompted by someone higher up or from IB.

Re: ID cards
The proactive ones that would challenge you whilst out on delivery seem to have gone, haven't been approached by one for I reckon eight years, they would appear and check that you'd secured your hct etc or you'd be walking to the van and spot someone trying the doors and looking for any items of mail on display.
Up until then they'd be in the area periodically, I've been approached back then iirc probably six times.

Re: ID cards
Yep so deliberately not applying for one for new joiners will lead to new joiners being disciplined for not having one. Just another way on top of blaming you for traffic making you late, telling you you're too slow on collections when you've had hundreds of bags and parcels to load alone etc.....just another way to bully employees for poor managementSpacePhoenix wrote: ↑07 Apr 2025, 00:50Not sure if RM are about to crack down on people not having ID cards.
