Hi, started as a postie this week, people talking about back to back bundles, what is that?

It is very old school. I can't remember the last time I saw it but I think it refers to criss-crossing a road.
1 to 21 on one side. Turn it over 2 to 20 on the other.
Turn it over 23 -35 etc etc.

Maybe it has a different meaning .......

I had a long road on a delivery once and that is eactly what it is - as you say very old school. The planners though do their own thing and sort out the sequence in some arcane manner that works generally, but leaves no room for local knowledge.

Started doing that on my new duty. Don't see the point of walking down a parallel road I don't deliver to, just to get to my official start point when I could walk down a road I do deliver to(meant to be the last road on the duty) and zig-zag across as I go to get to the same official start point.
