So if royal mail are by with the redudancies as people have left voluntary resigned or onto new jobs, how many people actually got redudancy when they were looking for 10 thousand, my office no one got it as there was quite a few vacancies, can't see any more happening why would they if they know there getting so many leaving voluntary to new jobs

I was told I had not a cat in hells chance of getting the redundancy I asked for as we are so seriously understaffed and more staff have left since then !
The constant threats from Royal Mail and the CWU about 10,000 redundancies are quite frankly absolute bollocks !

Not me unfortunately , but have not got long until the torture ends thankfully ! 4 full timers got VR in our office.

They actually said that they wanted to reduce the workforce by 10,000 and about 5,000-6,000 would be via VR.

In practice, more have left for other jobs or retiring than they thought, so the number of VR's was lower than the original 5,000-6,000.

Quite a few from my DO applied, including myself, but none actually got it.

i know one of them got £26 k , so i assume a week for every year worked plus the £6k - LUCKY BUGGERS ! (all reasonably old as well)

No redundancies in ours yet even though I know a lot of posties applied for VR on the reduced terms.
