Also, cos rounds are now too big to get done in time, for some rounds managers get a driver to deliver tracked parcels and the duty holder does letters and standard parcels.

2 vans going to same route/same houses.

Thing is - it's pretty much the only way to get some rounds completed. The blame is fully on the stupid revisions that have been implemented.

Totally inefficient.

Ain’t that the truth.

It’s funny when you both turn up at the same address at the same time.

One of you handing over a letter, the other a parcel…
The customer is often baffled and rightfully so.

A complete clown operation. :nana
But hey, at least it’s green. ;liar

Not an attack on collections - they do a good job as most of us do. But at my DO there’s about 20 of them, they start at 2pm and then sit on their phones or playing on the dartboard until about 3pm when vans from delivery start returning and are then available. And no they are not on their break.

As I say, not an attack I just find it bizarre we all work in the same building, all do a similar job (it’s all letters and parcels at the end of the day) yet they are not told to do any leftover IPS or prep D2Ds or sort consumer collection parcels as they wait for a van. It’s a colossal waste of time and money.
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

Wow, it's great to see the company's commitment to going green! Making a 10-mile return journey every day to collect late tracks/missorts and then having a 7.5-tonne van drop off the items from the same place an hour later shows a conscious effort to reduce carbon emissions. This kind of eco-friendly approach is commendable and sets a positive example for others to follow. Keep up the good work!

They might do away with the missort run and send them with the LATs (or have the DO collect them depending on which way round it gets done)

im impressed with the fact you need 2 p739 cards to deliver one parcel now. Maverick thinking, that one
