Well we have had a busy week on here have we not this whole strike action is one man's fault all of this could have been solved months ago but alas his other job's yes he does more than one. And the fact is his net worth is £41 million and he treats us like dirt on his shoe the very least this guy can do is apologise for his arrogance his stubonnace and lack of effort in this whole dispute which has been ongoing for the last 8 months!
It is time we actually got this guy on the record and account for his actions and we should protest our displeasure of lack of leadership and gross mismanagement and lack of foresight of this once great public institution and now failed business in his hands!

You would have thought he is a puppet. Otherwise they would have sacked him months ago after losing the trust of the workforce, messing up Black Friday and not budging on Christmas either.

I agree , one man couldn't be allowed to destroy a 500 year old company unless he had back up from the board . Collectively they need to think again before they drill this company into the ground and with it the shareholders money .

A lot of good replies on here and a fair bit of emotion and I completely understand that sentiment as our terms and conditions are trashed by one sad man!

He’s obviously got the backing of the board as they see change in t&c and the destruction of the union as important changes which will make them more profits going forward, and he’s already loaded and will walk away with more money whatever happens, there is very little empathy for the lowly workers, those at the top keep making more money and everyone else should be grateful to just have a job

He could resign if he has morals....

his grandad was a worker who fought for pay and terms and conditions, fighting against the greedy people at the top.

I feel that Thompson has some regret at what he's doing.

He is rich enough, he doesn't need to help millionaires and billionaires get richer and richer. I understand it's a private company, but Thompson is so rich that he could retire 41 times over and actually do something useful with his time and money.
