BBC Breakfast in Mt Pleasant and on picket line

Post by yellowbelly »

BBC Breakfast were inside Mount Pleasant with Rickyyyyy at 0720 and outside on picket line with Dave at 0830.

Can catch it on iplayer if you're quick, I think it gets removed after a bit.

Two (looked like agency) were putting packets onto a conveyor belt, with a manager stood behind them propping up the
machine doing very little - there's about 30k RM could save instantly.

its alright having all those hospital letters sorted first but they will still be left in the mech tray and put under our frame with the other 20 trays !

as for the non tracked parcels - mmmm they wont be getting delivered this side of xmas !

I too particularly liked that bit about the machine being programmed to put the NHS letters to the front so they get delivered first.

f**k off who do you think you're kidding.

On a side note wonder if Ricky would kindly send me his brand new storm coat as I can't get one.

This dude has the clip on his twitter....

'The CWU haven't put the latest offer to their members'.....

Ridiculous comment. He knows & we know that it would be rejected by 95%+ of the members.

Exactly .Royal Mail's latest offer is to still go ahead with compulsory redundancies but just not immediately . Wow, what an offer

No wonder the public think we are over staffed with the number of staff around one machine😂
Slider tool. Lol.

It was set up for the filming. If you look there seems to be no movement in the rest of the building.

That will work in our favour

That was the visual representation of us being replaced by a hooded faceless casual workforce right there

If they had any sense they would have had a manager in our uniform showing his face doing it to pretend that it’s business as usual
If you tolerate this, then your paid break will be next

There is another clip on Workplace, the same woman talking about NHS letters being pushed to the front of the sorting machine so those important letters can be delivered tomorrow.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

i believe they are supposed to treated as specials and given out with the specials, in our place they just get thrown into the sorting frame which is carried off every other day, then they are just thrown into the mech trays never to be seen again lol
