Re: Courier
Does anybody actually still read that propaganda rag?
The only times I’ve read it the letters section reminds me of the old Not The Nine o’clock news ( if you’re old enough to remember on tv ) Points of View sketch .
Dear RM these trainers are the best I’ve ever had .
Dear RM I’m so lucky to have the best terms and conditions in our sector.
I mean who sits at home and writes that nonsense?

Re: Courier
If they want to save money they can stop wasting money on that magazine.
Also - scrap workplace coach - u could just ask anyone to train someone new for no extra payment - some posties are nice and actually like to help new starts. Why do people need extra pay for that.

Re: Courier
Agreed. In my DO the workplace coaches did very little for their weekly premium other than turn up at your frame with a slip of paper if you had missed a scan. Never saw one doing any duty training or showing any interest in new starters etc (in 4+ years), that was left to the rest of us.

Re: Courier
Is there a minimum length of service required to become a workplace coach?

Re: Courier
Don't think so, the position is supposed to be advertised, like a job advert really, then everyone interested has an "interview" with the manager with the most suitable applicant getting it.......
but back to reality in our office 3 coaches were required and the 3 biggest brown nosers/managers favourites got it, one of them can't possibly do a walk he's the "Phg" and can only work indoors plus to my knowledge the other two have never trained
a new starter.
