Did as best as he could. Managed to just about get the whole 5.5% debunked. Trouble is people only hear headline figures. The great unwashed still will think we are anti change anti modernisation and stupid for turning down a 5.5% rise. Managed to get in the secret negotiations with the Sphinx. Hopefully Sally will press RM on this later.

They also had a short interview with Ricky McCauley at approx 8.30, nothing to see here, when they asked him about the "secret talks" he said he wasn't aware of them !

He also insisted 5.5% was a genuine offer. These people lie for a living in the end they genuinely think they are telling the truth.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

If the BBC bothered to do any real journalism and research, they'd ask those at the top why the USO is being ignored.
And then ask do they want it removed.
McCauley spoke about parcels several times in that short interview, letters not mentioned even once.

Dave Ward did great, the mainstream media would love it if the public were angry at the strikers but they aren’t being fooled as easily as the media would like.
