Re: rolling strike dates
First 2 strike days either side of the bank Holiday weekend , and factoring that in ,will lead to a lot of disruption.

Re: rolling strike dates
Some areas have stuck to local bank holidays and some have moved in line with the national bank holiday.
So... some of Scotland do and some don't.

Re: rolling strike dates
There is a difficulty in rolling strikes especially we have members who simply will not cross pickets lines.
Remember we have a lot less mail centres then in 2009 and we have lot more delivery offices who are now in mail centres.
To do a rolling strike across network, then RDCs , Mail Centres, collections , Area Distribution and then Delivery offices we have to ensure that individuals on their days their not on strike will cross the picket line. If they don’t and we have had strong feelings expressed that some will not be able to then we do face a legal challenge.

We have taken legal advice via Unite with those specific questions.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
