We have several frames that have pretty much a weeks mail in them standard now. How come managers don't have to deliver some like they used to?

They walk past and stare at frames all week stuffed with mail, it's disgraceful
Nobody cares anymore is the answer not them and not us.

We are due to start 24 min early on the 4 th sept
Mgmt now saying it’s going to be put back to November
Came from area rep
Reason ,we start earlier and the mail isn t in any earlier we would be doing nothing but stand about and wait
And why get mail in early when it’s going later in march 😅
So will.you be going back to 37hours the week.before Xmas still?
Who the hell knows in this shambles of an organisation! And I don't get why they'd want to stop the 'seasonal variation' on
17th December, surely it's going to be busy the last week before Christmas?
The hours have to even out over a 12month period so if they're going to push it back 8 weeks it will have to extend into February and so on? Kind of defeats the object?
Understand that pie, my post was just referring to the week before Xmas - why stop on the 17th and not 23rd - is the pre-Xmas
rush over by the 17th? - doesn't make any commercial sense to me but I'm just a humble postie.

Probably some bean counter worked for the year to be split equally into 3 thirds it had to start on the 4 September, not appreciating that the final week of December was one of our busiest, meaning the business will now have to pay o/t for that week rather than get staff to work for "free"".

I would have expected it to finish the week after that or maybe even the week after that because of the Boxing Day sales

Nobody cares anymore is the answer not them and not us.

The only difference is that managers have botched the revisions up and are still paid £42k+ plus to keep failing the mail and are taking absolutely ZERO accountability for it because it was 'what they were told to do'.
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.
