Was it only a few days ago/last week on the FB live when Dave or Andy said they were asked what would it take to call off the strikes. Dave/Andy mentioned 5 things. RM responded to 4 but didn’t respond to the 5th. What was that 5th thing? Was it commit to no redundancies. Can’t remember which video

Well at least we have surprised them with our strength and unity.
And their lies have been exposed.
Hopefully a few colleagues who continually espoused the opinion that the senior management had our best interests at heart and we should trust in our leadership have had their minds changed but then you always seem to get people that go along with whatever the company says in the hope that the company will look after them if they comply I guess.
I know I've had an opinioning changing moment. It's a shame, I used to really love the Royal mail.
Trust is gone, pity.

We do get to vote yes or no whatever deal is ever agreed.Aardvark wrote: ↑16 Dec 2022, 21:15We are the Union. (Or at least those of us subbed up.) It isn't a seperate entity. It is it's members and we have a say and we need to decide what is best for us and most of the people I read on this on forum and those I work with have no trust in RM management anymore and don't want the deals they are currently offering.

Until we get backdated pay,ts&cs remain the same and theres no CR then there will be no deal. There will be no strikes called off. We havent come this far to not keep going. RM are on the back foot and for all they have tried they haven't broke us,its now we break them.

This is a blag at our expense.

Add in the hourly rate paid to the Agency Len and its, ok not double, but they cost a lot more per hour than we do. And lets face it, they do less than half the work. Absolute shower of no-marks at our DO. Milling around for hours, no vans or PDA's for them half the time, all finished before 5pm and sneaking off and when they do actually deliver they manage about 10 packets per hour.redlen wrote: ↑16 Dec 2022, 20:25norris9 wrote: ↑16 Dec 2022, 20:13Didn't the CWU request the Agency workers be stood down in the sense that they aren't kept on in their thousands whilst Royal Mail employees are being made redundant....
Yet Royal Mail has come back and said 'we'll stand them down for the 23rd and 24th'....
WTF. How is that going to move things forward. Stop employing 12,000 agency workers for twice the pay!!
My gut feeling is nobody will get VR and it's all a scare tactic to get us to accept the masses of changes. They will just end up getting rid of agency workers once they have lost this dispute. There's no logic to them employing them on double the pay. It's all a temporary scare tactic!!!!
Talk about spin?
What gives you the Idea Angard are on double pay?
They are on the same as regular substantive staff. The only exception being Sunday night shift I believe.

Why can’t they just put it in writing No compulsory redundancies if they don’t and no backdated pay then strikes go ahead a

The 5th thing seemed to be causing the most problems. If the commit to no CR’s wasn’t the 5th thing then why have RM even bothered to make this plea.posted wrote: ↑16 Dec 2022, 21:16Was it only a few days ago/last week on the FB live when Dave or Andy said they were asked what would it take to call off the strikes. What the plea does try to convey is that RM are trying to resolve this dispute.

CR isn't a 5th thing or a 1st thing. Its part of everything. RM have had plenty of time and only now choose to say that. Its a joke. Now its big mister time and if RM hadnt been playing in the sandpit for most of this year,we wouldnt be where we are now.F##k 'em !!!!!Caesar wrote: ↑16 Dec 2022, 21:42The 5th thing seemed to be causing the most problems. Regardless of whether the lion roars or playfully paws in your direction, you don’t open it’s cage.
To Dave, Chris and anyone else involved in making decisions on our behalf, do not fall for any of Simon and co’s tricks. Certainly not at this stage.

The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

ive been seriously taken aback by how sinister these people actually are, but think i can still seperate the company from the people currently running it, if that makes senseEduardo wrote: ↑16 Dec 2022, 21:20Well at least we have surprised them with our strength and unity.

it seems the staff care more about the company/job than the chancers who are steering it at this moment in time
