It's more about utilising the parcel superhubs to save indoor hours in delivery offices and the number of HGVs being transported, so they can make fewer runs.

It's not going to make any difference as you're still going to have the same number of lorries going to DOs. Even if you split all the walks in the country between the current parcel super-hub and the yet to be built ones, they don't have anywhere near enough selections on their machines to walk sort the packets. They'll still have to be sorted in DOs, they'll just save on the sorting in MCs (well maybe, I don't think they'd even have enough selections available to sort to DO level)
