Every week that goes by is another weeks lost pay rise. There will be no extra back pay.
Everyone of us is seeing executive action taking place in our offices. The changes are happening and will continue.
We’ve waited over a year. We’ve thrown the best part of 2 grand each, away on strikes.
It’s not a great deal but there is a cost of living crisis and the bosses gave away three quarters of a billion quid. They were stupid, reckless and quite possibly criminal but the money is gone. No amount of complaining or striking is going to bring it back.
It’s time to accept what’s on offer and take the money.

And I want Thompson out and someone else in that has a better business plan than asset stripping and squeezing an already overworked workforce to make money

Our customers don’t trust Thompson after the parliamentary review, we don’t trust him so I don’t see how any deal can ever be done with him still there

On Pay 2% plus £1000 pro rata 2022 plus 8% 2023 plus 5% 2024
No change sick pay or IHR.
1 HOUR start time change for the duration of the agreement
All allowances ongoing.
Half hour flex.
No Sunday working without Sunday pay voluntary.
No compulsory Redundancies during the whole agreement.
Better framework for change that can be done without compromising the USO.
The reinstatement of people found to have been suspended sacked while not causing intentional harm.
The pathway to change to be reinstated.
And new contracts to be assimilated to normal post September 2022 contracts.
This would be my deal but as ever the devil is in the detail of what could be achieved not all this will happen but most of this would be a basis of a deal and should be on most peoples wish lists. We all know they want change but we all know how it will affect the customers we all deliver to and this is the paramount concern if we cannot deliver they will go elsewhere. We can get a deal like this but it takes time Rome was not built in a day!

If the public want their packages delivered later in the day, and that's what the business model has become, you can't really argue against it. You might not like it and it may no longer suit you, but that's the way business goes.

Well if someone had not given away £567 million you could be properly recompenced by the 2000 way forward agreement ie max two years pay but depends on service and age. But the CEO paid himself on the shareholders at your cost!

Royal Mail is under no obligation like any other employer to give an annual pay rise.
The profits generated were from the previous 12 months/
Though I agree he should have kept a substantial sum in reserve, he was under no obligation to do so
