Don't think the Xmas period is going to be anyway near as busy this year. Packets and Tracked are already way downkazardaimenu wrote: ↑16 Sep 2022, 18:03We should announce a week of IA from the day after Black Friday as a minimum. Gives everyone time to make their provisions and will hit the company right at the peak sending the entire festive period into chaos.
Hopefully that is down to the strikes and customers looking to use other couriers. That is exactly what we want and exactly what will make life extremely uncomfortable for Simon and Co.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑16 Sep 2022, 19:38Don't think the Xmas period is going to be anyway near as busy this year. I've heard (don't know if true but my gut feeling is that it is true) that RM has already lost some big contractsSchiff wrote: ↑16 Sep 2022, 19:55Hopefully that is down to the strikes and customers looking to use other couriers. You do realise an ot ban will never work especially now in a cost of living crisis ffs. people are really struggling an finding it even tougher with a strike maybe your different an can afford to keep on striking for ever..an ile just repeat i will NEVER cross a picket line.world class male wrote: ↑16 Sep 2022, 22:09for fecks sake ward/pullinger ballot us for an option for overtime ban!
if they do this we know exactly where the workers stand and if it's worth losing pay for because overtime is still rife at ours, those that want it are even better off than before we lose any strike money![]()

JUST BALLOT US FFS! because we know what keeps them running but the MORONS at cwu are too scared of the narrow results whilst we suffer even more
don't they realise this would be the death of the cwu in rm the way it's going, simple & co are laughing their heads off at us
Yeah I'm struggling just had a huge vets bill but I still think we should be balloted for ot ban.we should have that option regardless. And I still do zero overtime as it is now because of IA and I'm very lazy.aiden01 wrote: ↑16 Sep 2022, 22:33You do realise an ot ban will never work especially now in a cost of living crisis ffs. people are really struggling an finding it even tougher with a strike maybe your different an can afford to keep on striking for ever..an ile just repeat i will NEVER cross a picket line.world class male wrote: ↑16 Sep 2022, 22:09for fecks sake ward/pullinger ballot us for an option for overtime ban!

i think you misunderstand the "hits" taken, every single working class person no matter what industry is will be hit, we're all suffering the price war, this is a UK hit not rm,aiden01 wrote: ↑16 Sep 2022, 22:33You do realise an ot ban will never work especially now in a cost of living crisis ffs. people are really struggling an finding it even tougher with a strike maybe your different an can afford to keep on striking for ever..an ile just repeat i will NEVER cross a picket line.world class male wrote: ↑16 Sep 2022, 22:09for fecks sake ward/pullinger ballot us for an option for overtime ban!

Ot is not mandatory think again ffs who can pull you up for doing your contracted hours.world class male wrote: ↑17 Sep 2022, 17:56i think you misunderstand the "hits" taken, every single working class person no matter what industry is will be hit, we're all suffering the price war, this is a UK hit not rm,aiden01 wrote: ↑16 Sep 2022, 22:33You do realise an ot ban will never work especially now in a cost of living crisis ffs. people are really struggling an finding it even tougher with a strike maybe your different an can afford to keep on striking for ever..an ile just repeat i will NEVER cross a picket line.world class male wrote: ↑16 Sep 2022, 22:09for fecks sake ward/pullinger ballot us for an option for overtime ban!

the CWU's objective is to obtain the best deal they can muster up on our behalf yes?
if we were allowed legally to do our minimum as per contract, no more no less then not a single person loses any contacted hours income![]()
now if some actually rely on unplanned random income, then that's a different argument that bares no relevance to any current dispute.
all i'm saying is that we should be able to do our bare minimum at all times which will hit RM harder than us all losing money, but this requires a ballot to which uncle terry won't do because he knows it will be a very close call, folk at ours ft & pt still doing 70/80 hrs so absolutely zero effect when those are losing 100s on strike days
how hard is it to understand that a legal balloted overtime will lose it's members ABSOLUTLEY ZERO basic PAY apart from those that are living beyond their means reliant on overtime even before the dispute...all our bills go up the same regardless
